Turn off your air conditioner and disconnect it from electrical outlet
Turn off your air conditioner and disconnect it from the electrical outlet. Check the circuit breaker on the wall next to your unit and switch off the device.
Remove screened intake louver with a screwdriver
Remove the screened intake louver with a screwdriver. Disconnect the pump bracket but do not remove the pump's wiring connection. Remove the pump and then clean the screen on the pump.
Put on your gloves and safety glasses
Put on your gloves and safety glasses.
Detach the water drain cap by pulling it out.
Clean the sump with a rag.
Rinse the sump with a hose, then reinstall the pump.
Turn off and drain the water supply line.
Place an insulated cover on your Freus air conditioner.
