How To Make Car's Air Conditioner Cooler

When your car's air conditioner begins to blow warm air or doesn't cool the car properly, the chances are that you need to add more refrigerant to the air conditioner system the refrigerant is a chemical that cools the air when as it enters the car.

When the system runs low on refrigerant, it cannot properly cool the vehicle.

It is possible to recharge the system with the refrigerant by purchasing a refrigerant kit at a car parts store.

After the system is recharged, you will be able to once again enjoy cool air in your car.

How to Make Car's Air Conditioner Cooler

Place car in

Place the car in, Park. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key. Allow the vehicle to cool down for about half an hour before you can begin maintenance.

Open the hood of the car by pressing the hood release button located on the car's driver's side door. Find the air conditioner's low side service fitting, located under the hood the low side fitting can be found along the hose that runs from the accumulator to the compressor. If needed, refer to the car owner's manual.

Assemble refrigerant kit

Assemble the refrigerant kit, Connect the recharge hose to the can top.

The recharge hose should snap securely onto the top of the can if you simply push it in place.

Switch the refrigerant can to On, position.

Connect the refrigerant kit recharge hose to a low side fitting located under the hood.

Snap the hose onto the fitting.

Position the refrigerant can upright to ensure the proper flow of the refrigerant.

Start the engine by inserting the key into the ignition.

Turn the car's air conditioner to the highest setting.

After you turn on the air conditioner, the recharge process will start.

Continue the recharge process until the refrigerant can empties or you should feel the air conditioner blowing cool air as the system charges.

Connect the refrigerant kit recharge hose to a low side fitting located under the hood.

Snap the hose onto the fitting.

Position the refrigerant can upright to ensure the proper flow of the refrigerant.

Start the engine by inserting the key into the ignition.

Turn the car's air conditioner to the highest setting.

After you turn on the air conditioner, the recharge process will start.

Continue the recharge process until the refrigerant can empties or you should feel the air conditioner blowing cool air as the system charges.
